The Hermitage can be reached from the square above, full of large parking lots, by going down a panoramic staircase of 268 steps or by the lake going up about eighty. It can also be easily reached by means of the elevator with access near the parking lot.

The Hermitage is located in Leggiuno (VA) via Santa Caterina 13 and a large car park is available a few metres from the ticket office.
You can reach it by car from Castelveccana driving 14 km and by boat from Arona or Stresa, with several trips per day according to the timetables of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore.
Animals are allowed up to the foot of the steps and in the garden area. They are not allowed inside the monumental part of the Hermitage.
